Iceberg Salad with Blue Cheese Dressing

Ingredients

  • Blue Cheese 0 oz
  • Yogurt powder 5 oz
  • Meyer Lemon Juice 2 tablespoons
  • Mild Chili Spice 1 piece
  • Green peppercorns 1 teaspoon
  • Iceberg Lettuce 1 head
  • Shallot 1 piece
  • Semi-Smoked Sausage 5 oz
  • Marinated cherries 10 pieces

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Rinse the iceberg lettuce under running water, dry it with a paper towel, and cut it into four wedges so that each sits on a piece of the base and does not fall apart into leaves.

Step 2

Mix the yogurt with the freshly squeezed lemon juice, add finely chopped chili pepper and crushed black peppercorns.

Step 3

Roughly crumble the blue cheese and mix it into the yogurt.

Step 4

You can add salt if the cheese is not very salty.

Step 5

Cut the bacon into small squares and fry it in a dry pan until golden and crispy.

Step 6

Remove it to a paper towel to drain the fat.

Step 7

Slice the shallot into thin half-rings.

Step 8

Arrange the wedges of lettuce on plates, drizzle with the dressing, sprinkle with shallots and fried bacon, and garnish with cherry tomatoes.
