Iceberg Lettuce Salad with Warm Bacon and Blue Cheese Dressing
Ingredients
- Mayonnaise 10 oz
- Meyer Lemon Juice 2 tablespoons
- Ground Black Pepper 1 tablespoon
- TABASCO® 1 teaspoon
- Blue Cheese 5 oz
- Semi-Smoked Sausage 10 oz
- Iceberg Lettuce 1 piece
- Spanish onions ½ head
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, lemon juice, black pepper, and TABASCO. Add the crumbled blue cheese and mix well. If the dressing is too thick, add a little buttermilk or milk.
Step 2
Cut the bacon into small pieces and fry in a large skillet over medium heat until golden brown and crispy.
Step 3
Arrange the lettuce leaves on plates. Drizzle with the dressing. Then, using a slotted spoon, top with the bacon. Garnish with rings of red onion and serve.
