Grilled apple and endive salad
Ingredients
- Vegetable Oil 5 fl oz
- Red Apples 2 pieces
- Endive 1 bunch
- Onion 1 head
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Apple Cider Vinegar 0 fl oz
- Fresh oregano leaves 0 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare the grill. (You can also heat a cast-iron skillet over medium heat.) In a bowl, mix the oil, apples, endive, onion, salt, and pepper. Grill the apple and onion slices, turning until charred, for 12 minutes.
Step 2
Add the endive and grill, turning once, until charred, for another 3 minutes.
Step 3
Transfer the apples, onion, and endive to a cutting board and let cool slightly for 5 minutes. Coarsely chop the apples and endive.
Step 4
Transfer the chopped apples, endive, and onion to a serving bowl, mix with vinegar and oregano. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
