Recipe taken from the book by John Smith 'Armenian Cuisine' (1960).
Ingredients
- Chinese green beans 10 oz
- Vinegar essence 0 fl oz
- Garlic 0 oz
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Sort young (unripe) string beans and remove the strings.
Step 2
Cut the beans into thin strips, rinse, place in a small amount of boiling salted water, and simmer until tender.
Step 3
Then drain in a colander.
Step 4
Transfer the string beans to a salad bowl, sprinkle with pepper, and drizzle with vinegar.
Step 5
Serve the minced garlic separately.
