Description
The Sazerac needs to be stirred slowly and thoroughly to fully bring out its flavors.
Ingredients
- Scottish blended whisky 0 fl oz
- Chartreuse Liqueur 0 fl oz
- Absinthe 0 fl oz
- Bitter 0 fl oz
- Gingerbread-flavored syrup 0 fl oz
- Orange zest to taste
- Angostura 0 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Fill a glass with crushed ice and pour absinthe into it. Swirl the glass to wash it, let it sit for a moment, and then discard the ice.
Step 2
Mix the remaining ingredients in a mixing glass for thirty seconds and pour into a serving glass.
Step 3
Run an orange peel along the rim of the glass and use it to garnish the cocktail.
