Ginger Lemonade with Mint
Ingredients
- Grated Ginger Root 1 piece
- Water 15 fl oz
- Sugar 10 oz
- Sparkling water 0 qt
- Lemon 1 piece
- Fresh Mint to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Peel the ginger root, cut it into pieces, and pour 480 ml of water over it. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let steep for about an hour at room temperature. Then strain the broth and discard the ginger.
Step 2
Add sugar to the broth and place it over low heat, cooking until the sugar dissolves. Cool and refrigerate. Squeeze the juice from the lemon. In a glass, pour 1 part lemon juice, a few mint leaves, 2 parts ginger syrup, and 3 parts sparkling water. Garnish the drink with slices of apple, ginger, and mint.
