  • Lemon 1 piece
  • Ginger 2 tablespoons
  • Sugar 10 oz
  • Basil 4 pieces
  • Water 0 qt
  • Dry yeast ¼ teaspoon

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Grate the ginger root on a fine grater. Squeeze the juice from the lemon. Finely chop a few sprigs of basil.

Step 2

Mix everything with sugar and a small amount of water. To dissolve the sugar faster, it's better to slightly warm the water.

Step 3

Add the dry yeast.

Step 4

Pour the mixture into a two-liter plastic bottle. Add the remaining water, leaving a little free space. Close the bottle tightly and leave it at room temperature for about a day.

Step 5

Then refrigerate for another day. After that, carefully open, filter, and pour into glass bottles.
