Gin and Tonic
Drinks • European
Description
A touch of exoticism is brought by the classic cocktail Gin and Tonic. Its familiar recipe was created by chance when English soldiers began adding a bit of gin to tonic to make it more palatable. The inspiration for this cocktail came from the traditional Indian non-alcoholic yogurt-based drink called lassi. This is how sweet liqueur 'Falernum' and coconut water made their way into the recipe, giving the cocktail bright notes of lemon zest, one of the eleven botanical components found in Hendrick’s Gin.
