Fruit Mulled Wine
Ingredients
- Red Grape Juice 1½ l
- Paradise apples 4 pieces
- Oranges 2 pieces
- Ginger 0 oz
- Star anise 0 oz
- Cinnamon 2 pieces
- Ground clove 4 pieces
- Cardamom 7 pieces
- Honey to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cut the apples into quarters.
Step 2
Cut half of the orange into quarters and the other half into slices.
Step 3
Peel and finely chop the ginger.
Step 4
Open the cardamom pods.
Step 5
In a deep pot, place the anise, cloves, cardamom, and ginger.
Step 6
Squeeze the juice from the quartered half of the orange. If some pulp gets in, it's fine.
Step 7
Place on medium heat and stir occasionally, avoiding boiling.
Step 8
Add the cinnamon, slightly reduce the heat, and mix.
Step 9
After a couple of minutes, add the apples and pour in the wine.
Step 10
Add the oranges and stir.
Step 11
Cover with a lid and simmer on medium heat for 10 minutes. If the drink starts to boil, remove the lid. You can add honey to taste (1–2 tablespoons).
Step 12
Let the finished mulled wine steep under the lid for 10–15 minutes, then immediately pour into suitable glasses and serve.
