Fresh Sandwich with Herbs and Cucumber
Sandwiches • European
Description
You can choose whole grain or bran bread, but it must be wheat. It tastes great if the cream cheese is herbed. You can substitute yogurt with sour cream no more than 20%, or you can try the sandwich with thick kefir. 'Iceberg' can be replaced with any crispy lettuce. Along with dill, you can also add parsley. For those who enjoy a bit of saltiness, a pinch of salt is recommended.
Ingredients
- Semi-soft cream cheese 2 teaspoons
- Natural Yogurt 2 teaspoons
- Cucumbers 5 oz
- Dill to taste
- Iceberg Lettuce to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- White bread 2 pieces
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare 2 soft pieces of wheat sandwich bread, spreading fresh cream cheese on one of them.
Step 2
Carefully place the crispy lettuce on the spread piece, leaving a few millimeters from the edge for easier assembly of the two pieces of bread at the end.
Step 3
Slice the cucumber into not-too-thick rounds.
Step 4
Dip the cucumber slices in yogurt and immediately place them on top of the lettuce in a few neat rows.
Step 5
Sprinkle with fragrant dill and add pepper.
Step 6
Cover with the second piece of bread and gently press it down to keep the sandwich from falling apart in your hands.
