Ingredients
- Herring 2 pieces
- Salad Potatoes 4 pieces
- Canned Baby Beets 2 pieces
- Pickles 2 pieces
- Onion 2 heads
- Apple 2 pieces
- Beef 5 oz
- Egg white 1 piece
- Whipped Cream ¾ cup
- Parsley to taste
- Dill to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Gut the herring, remove the skin and bones, and finely chop the fillet.
Step 2
Boil the beef until cooked.
Step 3
Boil the potatoes in their skins, cool, and peel.
Step 4
Dice the potatoes, beets, pickles, onion, and apples.
Step 5
Combine all ingredients, add finely chopped meat, a bit of beet marinade, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 6
Place the finished salad in a mound in a serving bowl, garnish with slices of hard-boiled egg, beets, and herbs.
Step 7
Top with whipped cream.
