Ingredients
- Whole egg 4 pieces
- Milk 10 fl oz
- Cream 10 fl oz
- Granulated sugar 5 oz
- Vanilla extract 0 fl oz
- Ground Nutmeg 0 fl oz
- Ground Cinnamon 0 fl oz
- Rum 5 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a saucepan, combine milk, nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Heat gently over low heat, stirring constantly.
Step 2
In a bowl, mix egg yolks with sugar and whisk until fluffy.
Step 3
Slowly and carefully add the hot milk mixture to the egg yolks, stirring continuously. Place over low heat and continue stirring until the eggnog becomes smooth, about 5 minutes. Do not let the mixture boil!
Step 4
Remove the eggnog from heat and let it cool. Add the alcohol and cream, then refrigerate overnight.
Step 5
Serve in clear glasses, garnished with nutmeg and cinnamon.
