Detox Broccoli Salad with Spicy Dressing

Ingredients

  • Grapefruits 1 bunch
  • Green Apples 1 piece
  • Sweet Red Onion 1 piece
  • Grated Ginger Root 1 piece
  • Olive Oil 1 teaspoon
  • Dijon Mustard 1 teaspoon
  • Apple Cider Vinegar 2 tablespoons
  • Water 9 tablespoons
  • Honey 1 teaspoon
  • Broccoli 5 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Chop the onion. Mix apple cider vinegar (2 tablespoons), cold water, and honey, pour the marinade over the onion, and leave it in the refrigerator for 30–60 minutes.

Step 2

Steam the broccoli for no more than 5 minutes.

Step 3

Slice the apple into thin wedges. To prevent the apple from browning in the salad, sprinkle it with lemon juice or diluted apple cider vinegar.

Step 4

Cut the grapes (1 bunch) in half or quarters.

Step 5

Drain the onion and place it in a salad bowl.

Step 6

Toss the salad.

Step 7

For the dressing, peel a piece of ginger (2–3 cm) and grate it finely. Add mustard, olive oil, apple cider vinegar (1 teaspoon), and mix well.

Step 8

Serve the salad on a plate, add the tender broccoli florets, drizzle with some dressing, and serve.

Step 9

Toss the salad just before eating.
