Description

Of course, the coffee will be wonderful even without the grape vodka. But it will be better with it. In the original recipe, zivania is poured into the cezve. However, if there is no zivania at home or in the nearest liquor stores, it can be easily replaced with grappa without any loss.

Ingredients

  • Ground Coffee 2 teaspoons
  • Sugar 2 teaspoons
  • Grappa 0 fl oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Pour the coffee and sugar into a cup, add a small amount of hot water, and mix thoroughly.

Step 2

Pour the resulting mixture into a small cezve, add cold water. The volume of water should be approximately the same as that of the coffee-sugar mixture. Place the cezve over low heat and wait for the contents to start boiling.

Step 3

Remove the cezve from the heat, add more cold water. It’s best if the amount of water is the same as the first time. Place the cezve back on the heat and wait for it to boil again.

Step 4

Repeat the process of adding water and boiling until the cezve is full. After adding a new portion of cold water, be sure to mix it with the coffee already in the cezve.

Step 5

If desired, during the final boiling stage, you can add a teaspoon of grape vodka to the cezve.
