Cuban Hamburger
Ingredients
- Vegetable Oil to taste
- Potato 1 piece
- Salt to taste
- Lean Beef 10 oz
- Chorizo 5 oz
- Graham Crackers 1 cup
- Onion 0 oz
- Smoked salt 1 teaspoon
- Garlic 1 clove
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Hamburger Bun 6 pieces
- Ketchup to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Pour oil into a saucepan (about 5 cm deep) and place it over high heat. Peel the potato and grate it on a coarse grater, then cover it with water. After a minute, drain the water, and place the potato on paper towels to absorb excess moisture.
Step 2
Fry the potato in small batches in the oil until golden brown. Once cooked, place the potato on paper towels and season with salt.
Step 3
In a food processor, combine the ground beef, chorizo, crushed crackers, finely chopped onion and garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper. Refrigerate the mixture for 30 minutes.
Step 4
Form 6 patties from the chilled mixture. Fry them in a skillet over medium heat.
Step 5
Slice the buns in half and toast the cut side. Spread ketchup on the bottom halves of the buns, then place a patty, the fried potato, and the top halves of the buns. Enjoy your meal!
