Description

It is best to use tomato paste with chunks of tomatoes. You can also add turkey or chicken. Wrap the bottom part of the baguette tightly in foil, making it easy to take the sandwich with you.

Ingredients

  • Passata Tomato Sauce 2 tablespoons
  • French Baguette 1 piece
  • Dried Rosemary a pinch
  • Basil to taste
  • Melted Cheese 4 pieces
  • Olive Oil 2 teaspoons
  • Iceberg Lettuce 0 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Cut the baguette lengthwise and crosswise to create 2 pairs of halves.

Step 2

Heat a skillet and sauté the baguette quarters with the inner side down in olive oil until crispy.

Step 3

Flip the baguette and spread the tomato paste on top.

Step 4

Sprinkle with basil and oregano, then cover with a lid.

Step 5

Cook for a couple more minutes to let the sauce soak in, then place the pieces of cheese on top of the tomato sauce.

Step 6

Cover the skillet with a glass lid and cook for a couple more minutes until the cheese melts.

Step 7

Transfer to a plate, place lettuce leaves on the bottom halves, cover with the other halves, and press down.
