Crispy Chicken Salad with Croutons
Ingredients
- White bread 5 oz
- Skin-On Chicken Breasts 10 oz
- Cheese Spread 5 oz
- Cucumbers 10 oz
- Spanish onions 5 oz
- Green Butter 1 head
- Garlic 3 cloves
- Vegetable Oil 4 tablespoons
- 9% Vinegar 1 tablespoon
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Boil the chicken breast until cooked (about 20 minutes after boiling). Let it cool. Shred the chicken into fibers.
Step 2
Cut the bread into cubes. Fry in vegetable oil until golden brown.
Step 3
Slice the cucumbers into strips. Cut the onion into half-rings. If using bitter onion, pour boiling water over it, let it sit for 10 minutes, then drain and rinse the onion in cold water. Grate the cheese on a fine grater.
Step 4
Make the dressing by mixing vegetable oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, and crushed garlic.
Step 5
Tear the lettuce by hand. Add cucumbers, onion, chicken, cheese, dressing, and croutons.
Step 6
It is recommended to add the croutons just before serving to keep them crispy.
