Ingredients
- Fig 20 oz
- Red port 0 qt
- Lemon 4 pieces
- Sugar 0 oz
- Fresh Mint 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Soak the dried figs in cold water until soft, then cover them with port wine and simmer on low heat for about an hour.
Step 2
Squeeze the juice from the lemons, mix it with sugar, and bring to a boil until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Step 3
Remove from heat and add the figs in port wine, along with lemon juice and sugar.
Step 4
Combine lemon juice with finely chopped mint, then mix the result with the port wine and fig compote.
