Colorful Meat Salad
Ingredients
- Semi-Smoked Sausage 10 oz
- Hard Cheese 5 oz
- Canned Corn 5 oz
- Pickled Cauliflower 2 pieces
- Tomatoes 2 pieces
- Orange Bell Peppers 1 piece
- Sweet Red Onion 1 piece
- Dry White Wine 2 tablespoons
- Vegetable Oil 3 tablespoons
- Champagne Vinegar 1½ tablespoons
- Mustard Greens ½ teaspoon
- Sugar 1 teaspoon
- Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Peel the onion, slice it into thin rings, and soak it in vinegar. Lightly salt, season with black pepper to taste, and let it marinate for 5–7 minutes, then drain the liquid.
Step 2
Remove seeds and membranes from the bell pepper and cut it into small cubes. Dice the pickled cucumbers, tomatoes, and cheese.
Step 3
Cut the boiled sausage into medium-sized cubes. Place all prepared ingredients (except for the onion) in a salad bowl.
Step 4
Drain the canned corn in a colander and let the liquid drain. Add the corn to the salad bowl.
Step 5
To prepare the salad dressing, pour sugar into a preheated dry skillet and heat it until it starts to melt. Then pour in the wine and bring to a boil.
Step 6
In a separate container, mix vegetable oil, mustard, and salt, then add the sugar and wine mixture and stir well. Add the marinated onion to the salad, drizzle the prepared dressing over the salad, and mix. Let it sit at room temperature for a while before serving.
