Ingredients

  • Chocolate 53% 5 oz
  • Sugar 1 tablespoon
  • Cocoa Powder 2 tablespoons
  • 3.2% Milk 1½ cups
  • Crushed ice 2 cups
  • Espresso 1 tablespoon
  • Whipped Cream to taste
  • Chocolate shavings to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Break the chocolate into pieces and melt it in a water bath. Once the chocolate is melted, remove it from the heat. Stir in the cocoa powder, half a cup of room temperature milk, and 1 tablespoon of sugar into the melted chocolate. Mix well and let it cool to room temperature.

Step 2

Blend the chocolate mixture, 1 cup of milk, 1 tablespoon of espresso, and crushed ice in a blender. Blend until smooth.

Step 3

Pour into glasses and serve immediately. Optionally, garnish with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
