Coffee with Airy Milk Foam
Beverages • European
Description
A coffee blend with a hint of bitterness is preferable to one with acidity. For those who enjoy it, sprinkle cinnamon powder or cocoa on top.
Ingredients
- Ground Coffee 1 tablespoon
- Milk 0 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Heat the cezve on the stove. Add the ground coffee and warm it slightly. Pour in room temperature water, stir, and keep it on high heat for 2 minutes. Then reduce the heat to medium, ensuring the coffee does not boil.
Step 2
On low heat, the coffee should brew for about 5 minutes.
Step 3
Meanwhile, pour the milk into a small jar with a tightly fitting lid. The milk should be warm, but not hot. If heating in the microwave, 10 seconds is sufficient. If on the stove, watch to ensure the milk does not form a film.
Step 4
Shake the warmed milk vigorously in the jar for 1 minute to froth it.
Step 5
When the coffee starts to bubble and froth, remove it from the heat.
Step 6
Warm the cappuccino cup (it’s better to use a wide cup with thick walls rather than a mug), and after a minute, pour in the coffee.
Step 7
Open the jar with the milk, pour the liquid milk in a thin stream, and use a spoon to scoop the fluffy foam, placing it gently on top of the drink.
