Cod Liver Salad with Croutons

Ingredients

  • Canned cod liver 1 can
  • Chocolate eggs 2 pieces
  • Canned Corn 5 oz
  • Mayonnaise 2 tablespoons
  • White bread 4 slices

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Remove the crusts from the white bread and cut it into 1x1 cm cubes. If the bread is very fresh, dry it without oil in a pan or oven for 5 minutes, then lightly fry it in butter or vegetable oil, or a mixture of both.

Step 2

First, prepare the oil (melt it and heat the pan), then add the dried croutons and immediately stir them constantly to ensure the oil does not stick to one side, so the croutons are evenly golden.

Step 3

Drain the oil from the cod liver, mash it with a fork, add the chopped eggs, corn, and mayonnaise.

Step 4

Mix everything together and place it on salad leaves (optional).

Step 5

Only before serving, add the croutons on top (you can cover the entire surface of the salad with them, or scatter them, then place the remaining croutons in a bowl for those who want to add them), and garnish with dill.
