Description

The cocktail is named after the fast-drying lacquer Jap-a-lac. In Russian, there is an expression "to lacquer" — "Japalak" fits this purpose quite well. But it is also delightful on its own. Its recipe first appeared in the book "Old Waldorf Bar Days" from 1931.

Ingredients

  • Scottish blended whisky 0 fl oz
  • Dry martini 0 fl oz
  • Raspberry gin to taste
  • Oranges ¼ pieces
  • Citrus Zest Mix to taste

Step 1

Pour whiskey and vermouth into a shaker with ice, squeeze the juice from an orange, and add raspberry syrup. Shake well.
