
Christmas Bumbo Punch with Dark Rum and Grenadine

Description
According to the classic recipe of Caribbean pirates, one serving of bumbo requires 60 ml of rum, 30 ml of chilled water, 2 sugar cubes, a pinch of cinnamon, and grated nutmeg. Instead of water, citrus juice can be added in the same proportion. The other ingredients are optional. In the European New Year's version of the bumbo recipe, the punch can be heated slowly to 70 degrees Celsius.

- Dark rum 10 fl oz
- Grenadine 5 fl oz
- Orange juice concentrate 5 fl oz
- Raw cane sugar 8 teaspoons
- Ground Nutmeg a pinch
- Ground Cinnamon a pinch
- Lime Juice 5 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Squeeze the juice from the oranges and limes and chill it thoroughly.
Step 2
Mix the juice with sugar, add rum, grenadine, and spices.
Step 3
Serve cold, but do not add ice to prevent the drink from becoming watery.
