Chicken Heart Salad
Ingredients
- Chicken hearts 20 oz
- Onion 1 head
- Soy Sauce 5 fl oz
- Mixed salad greens 5 oz
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Vegetable Oil 0 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Rinse the chicken hearts in cold water, remove any membranes and blood clots.
Step 2
Place the hearts on a paper towel and pat them dry. They should not be wet.
Step 3
In a heated skillet, pour in the vegetable oil, add the hearts, and fry for 10 minutes on each side.
Step 4
Once the hearts are well cooked, add the soy sauce and simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 5
Remove the hearts with a slotted spoon and in the remaining oil-soy sauce, sauté the previously sliced onion. It is best to cut the onion into long thin half-rings.
Step 6
Wash the salad greens and dry them. In a salad bowl, place the salad leaves, top with the sautéed hearts and onion. Optionally, you can drizzle everything with the sauce left after frying the onion.
