Description
Beef Sandwich with Melted Cheese
Ingredients
- Lean Beef 25 oz
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Vegetable Oil 5 tablespoons
- Onion 2 heads
- Rye Bread 12 pieces
- Cheshire Cheese 12 slices
- Salted Butter 8 tablespoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Season the ground beef with salt and pepper. Divide the meat into 6 equal patties, slightly larger than the slices of bread.
Step 2
Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a skillet over high heat. Slice the onion into rings, season with salt and pepper. Sauté the onion until golden brown on both sides. Transfer the cooked onion to a bowl. In the same oil, fry the beef patties on both sides and place them on a plate.
Step 3
Place the onion on 6 pieces of bread, then add a slice of cheese, a patty, another slice of cheese, and another piece of bread. Spread butter on each slice of bread (top and bottom) with a knife.
Step 4
Heat the skillet over medium heat and toast the sandwiches on both sides until the cheese melts and the bread is golden brown. Enjoy your meal!
