Avocado Toast with Caviar
Sandwiches • Author's
Description
The simplest way to turn your morning avocado toast into a festive treat is to top your guacamole sandwich with a generous scoop of red caviar. This design also evokes associations with a green Christmas tree. The inherent creaminess of avocado allows it to replace butter in sandwiches, helping to avoid excessive consumption of animal fats, which is why avocado toast has gained such wild popularity. Millennials, for whom these things are extremely important, will be pleased. Just remember to drizzle the mashed avocado with lemon juice; otherwise, it will lose its 'Aztec green' and turn gray long before serving.
Ingredients
- Sourdough Bread 12 pieces
- Avocado 2 pieces
- Onion ½ heads
- Tomatoes 1 piece
- Lime 1 piece
- Paprika to taste
- Garlic 1 clove
- Cilantro 4 sprigs
- Olive Oil 2 spoons
- Kaviar 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2
Finely chop the onion, drizzle with lime juice, and let it marinate for about 10 minutes.
Step 3
Cut the tomatoes into wedges, removing the juice and seeds. Dice them into small cubes.
Step 4
Cut the avocado in half, twist the halves apart, and remove the pit. Peel the avocado, place the flesh in a bowl, drizzle with lime juice, and mash well with a fork.
Step 5
Pass the garlic through a press into the bowl with the avocado.
Step 6
Tear off the leaves from the cilantro and chop them finely (set aside a little for garnish), then add them to the avocado.
Step 7
Add the marinated onions, tomatoes, paprika, and oil, and mix well. Season with a little salt, but keep in mind that the caviar is already salty.
Step 8
Toast the bread in a toaster or oven. Place the bread on a cutting board and spread the avocado paste on top.
Step 9
Cut the bread into quarters or eighths, slicing the knife through the center of the piece.
Step 10
Spread red caviar on the bread and serve.
