Ingredients
- Corn Flour for Polenta 0 oz
- Cocoa Powder 0 oz
- Butter 0 oz
- Ground Cinnamon 0 oz
- Ginger 0 oz
- Star anise 2 pieces
- Clove 3 pieces
- Allspice berries 4 pieces
- Bittersweet Chocolate 0 oz
- Sugar 0 oz
- Rum 5 fl oz
- Milk 25 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a saucepan, melt the butter and add star anise, cloves, allspice, and cornmeal.
Step 2
Stir continuously over low heat until a golden color and a pleasant baking aroma develop.
Step 3
Pour in the milk and continue stirring until it thickens.
Step 4
Add cocoa, cinnamon, dried ginger, sugar, and chocolate. Keep stirring continuously to prevent the flour and spices from burning.
Step 5
Then turn off the heat, cover with a lid, and let it rest for 10–15 minutes.
Step 6
Then strain through a sieve and add spiced rum.
