Apple Raisin Coleslaw
Salads • European
Description
Coleslaw is a versatile American side dish made from finely shredded cabbage.
Ingredients
- Red Currant 1 piece
- White Cabbage 1 piece
- Carrot 2 pieces
- Green Apples 1 piece
- Dill 1 bunch
- Yogurt powder 10 fl oz
- Olive Oil 2 spoons
- Apple Cider Vinegar 2 spoons
- Raisins 0 oz
- Sunflower Seeds 0 oz
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Finely shred one fork each of red and white cabbage. Firmly knead the resulting strips on a cutting board and let them rest for about fifteen minutes.
Step 2
Grate the carrot on a coarse grater. Peel the apple, remove the core, and cut it into matchstick-sized strips. Roughly chop the raisins. Whether to use white or black raisins is a matter of taste. The important thing is that they are seedless.
Step 3
Finely chop the dill, first removing the tough parts, and mix it with the fat-free yogurt, olive oil, and apple cider vinegar. Season with salt and pepper to taste—though this step is optional.
Step 4
Lightly toast the seeds.
Step 5
Mix the cabbage with the apple, carrot, and raisins. Transfer the salad to a large serving platter, dress it with yogurt sauce, and sprinkle with seeds.
